Student & faculty Exchange

DBS is developing alliances with some of the leading Business schools in India and abroad to facilitate student and faculty exchange. As part of this program, DBS will invite renowned academicians and industry experts for a lecture series periodically and also send its faculty to gain a first hand experience of the developments in business education worldwide.

Similar exchange of students is also envisaged. Invitees from overseas schools will experience Indian culture and traditions and gain experience about corporate professional working ethos while our students going abroad will be exposed to International business parameters and culture.

IT Solution Providers

DBS has ongoing alliances with HP and Microsoft for providing technical and software solutions. A number of strategic alliances are being developed to provide access to cutting edge technology and software solutions for DBS students and other members.

Alliances are also being developed for providing additional training in a number of business software applications for the benefit of the students. These business software have day to day use in leading business houses and a familiarity with the operation, basic objective and application in business case scenario gives an edge to the students in the placement process. Learning the structure and objectives of these software also helps in a better understanding of vital management concepts as well as business processes. Some of the software applications that students will be exposed to as an additional learning resource are SAS, SAP, SAP Business one, SAP Supply Chain Management, MS project, MS office, Oracle applications, MS Exchange etc. Arrangement is also being made with some of these companies to have a strategic alliance for regular on campus or online training facility for the students with an option to go in for full certification

Placement Solution providers

DBS has developed strategic alliances with some of the leading HR recruitment solution providers to facilitate and access better placement opportunities for its students and alumni. A strategic alliance with these service providers also enables DBS to update and upgrade its content and curriculum as per industry requirements.

DBS has initiated strategic alliances and tie ups with numerous companies in different sectors for ensuring a good turnout in campus placements. The placement cell keeps a close watch on the developments in the corporate business environment and keeps track of the skill requirement of different companies. Numerous training programs are conducted to develop the skills required by corporates.

DBS is also a partner of SAP University Alliance program. This program offers on campus training and certification facility to the MBA students. A SAP certification is highly valued in the corporate sector and is a passport for a good highly paid job. All major corporates in India run on SAP. Worldwide, more than 76000 companies run on SAP. DBS is the only institute in Uttarakhand offering this certification facility. Exposure to SAP also helps in developing a better understanding of functional subjects.

Apart from ensuring overall personality development and skill enhancement training, DBS has alliances with leading corporates for campus placement program. The placement cell is in continuous communication with the HRD of these companies to assess their campus intake and specific skills these companies desire in their new recruits. Based on this information, the institute’s academic development cell develops suitable training programs for developing these skills in the students. DBS has thus given a totally new dimension to placement activity by making it central to the learning environment. All skill development programs, training programs and specific certifications are oriented towards securing a better employment for its students. Rather than being an end of the session activity, placement has become a round the year activity.

The Placement committee in association with MISG ( Consultancy division of Doon Business School ) develops various activities/surveys/projects with various corporate groups wherein the students not only get a preview of various activities of the corporates but are also able to showcase their talent which transpires into prospective placements.

Many such programs have been started and running at DBS with corporates like Marico Industries Ltd, Superior Carbonates & Chemicals Ltd, Max New York Life etc.
Further the placement cell has initiated similar activities with many corporates which have a strong base in Uttaranchal state.
