Management & Industrial Solutions Group, Dehradun is the consultancy division of Doon Business School & has been promoted by a group of highly qualified professional management consultants and industry experts with a mission to bring high class consulting capabilities and management education for the benefit of the people of Uttarakhand state.

It is our vision to establish MISG as a one stop professional services solution provider to industries and state government in the areas of Information technology, Project Management, Social Development & e-Governance segments.

MISG has ambitious plans of becoming a major catalyst in the development of Uttarakhand state by providing its diverse consulting services and professional assistance. MISG has a good basic infrastructure and it’s the vision of the promoters to facilitate knowledge dispersal to critical development agencies in the state so that the benefits can penetrate the masses. The institution has access to experienced and highly knowledgeable faculty and can also draw from a vast pool of subject experts on its panel as guest and visiting faculty. MISG also has a large number of students available as a pool of field force for conducting surveys and research to enable faster data collection and analysis.

MISG has enriched its knowledge repository by developing a number of certificate courses for working executives and experienced professionals by absorbing industry experience in conceptual curriculum. Some of the programs have been designed specifically for the NGO’s so that projects implemented through these organizations can be made more efficient in terms of resources utilization. State government agencies and various departments can benefit through our expertise and management knowledge in effecting a better utilization of their efforts and funds

Entrepreneurship Incubation

DBS associates great importance to Entrepreneurship Development as we believe that creating one entrepreneur is akin to creating at least 10 jobs immediately and may be thousands in 5 years time. Working on this premise, DBS has, as a first time initiative, pioneered the setting up of an Entrepreneur Development & Incubation center. This center will promote entrepreneurship development among its students and encourage them to become self employed professionals. Identification of entrepreneurial traits starts with individual personality analysis carried out on each student immediately after admission. Prospective entrepreneurs will be provided all facilities to kick start their projects.

Social Causes & Responsibility Development

A unique first time initiative by any business school in Uttarakhand is the setting up of Social Causes Training Center. This center will focus on creating small programs to create awareness about various social causes that affect the masses. Through its own initiative, DBS will spread social awareness through these one day programs by taking its students outside the campus and into the semi urban and remote areas of the state and conducting the program in the village center and semi urban centers. This effort will make the students look at social problems more closely and initiate a thought process to apply management principles to improve the lives of common deprived section of society. Our aim is to groom a few social leaders of tomorrow who can bring about a change in society as well as those who can dream to apply their management training for the benefit of society by starting their own NGO’s This is yet another major service differentiator for DBS. Recognizing the need of a center for supporting social causes by providing knowledge base and infrastructural support, DBS has taken a unique initiative. This center will go a long way in fulfilling our objective of supporting the society by taking up social causes that need specialized training. This center will be dedicated to social causes and would cover a wide spectrum of services such as identification of needs of the different segments / groups of society, taking up the causes through NGO’s, providing specialized training to NGO’s for fulfillment of the objectives, providing technical support in terms of project management inputs, designing systems to tackle disaster management & relief operations, monitoring social projects, conducting surveys and taking up awareness programs through its students.

This center will work in close coordination with state and developmental agencies to bring about a social change and provide a robust support in crisis.

Various awareness programs are being designed to be taken up by students on weekends as special projects. These projects will take the students outside the campus into the rural hinterland and provide them with an opportunity to interact with the masses and test management concepts that they study in classrooms and books.

Project Monitoring & Evaluation

DBS has in house expertise to provide support and assistance to the state government initiative in National e governance projects and other development & infrastructure projects that require project monitoring and evaluation service. DBS is approaching these agencies and other funding support providers for offering its services in this sector.
