Living up to its reputation of hosting some of the biggest and most reputed names in the corporate world, Doon Business School invited Reliance Brands for a campus placement drive on 4 November 2017. The campus was abuzz with excitement and the students could be seen flushed with anticipation.
During the daylong session students were first briefed about the company by the company representatives, including the HR head. Following this each member of the four member delegation made elaborate presentations about Reliance Brands and their core values. The main profiles on offer included Management Trainee, Fashion Consultant, Fun Consultant (for Hamleys)
The selection procedure started with a set of two games in which students were required to make a sales pitch. In addition to this, the students shortlisted for the fashion consultant’s profile were required to undergo an additional written test. The one to one interview followed next. A total of 9 selections were made, including three students from BBA and others from MBA (Final year).
A part of the Reliance Industries Group, Reliance Brands was started in October 2007 by Mr. Darshan Mehta. The company believes in creating long term value through partnering with international brands in India and also investing in home grown Indian Brands and launching own Brands. Reliance Brands focuses on the Premium to luxury segments of the fashion business – ready to wear, footwear, beauty, accessories.
The 1500 people strong organization has over 20 partnerships, seven of them with Brooks Brothers, Diesel, Ermenegildo Zegna, Iconix, Paul & Shark and Quiksilver Group (Quiksilver, Roxy & DC).
