Guest Lecture on "A Roadmap to Prime Time Anchoring" by Mrs. Tanya Purohit

The Mass Communication Department at Doon Business School had the privilege of hosting a distinguished guest, Anchor/Actor Mr s Tanya Purohit, for an enlightening session titled "A Roadmap to Prime-Time Anchoring." Tanya Purohit is a renowned sports anchor and a talented Indian Bollywood actress. She marked her debut in the film industry with notable roles in "NH 10" as 'Manju' and "Terror Strike- Beyond Boundaries." However, her career took a significant turn in 2020 when she assumed the role of a host during the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The guest lecture with Miss Tanya Purohit was a remarkable experience for both the students and faculty members of the Mass Communication Department. Her innate charisma and passion for her craft immediately established a strong connection with the audience. Throughout the session, several key aspects were discussed, including personality, body language, and voice modulation in the context of effective communication and anchoring.
To foster a deeper connection between Tanya Purohit and the students, interactive exercises were incorporated into the session. These activities aimed to create a relatable bond and provide practical insights into the world of anchoring and acting.
Meeting a distinguished personality like Tanya Purohit was truly an honor for our students. Her presence provided our students with valuable insights into the dynamics of the entertainment and sports industry, helping them gain a better understanding of the nature of work in these fields. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs Tanya Purohit for sharing her expertise and experiences with us, enriching the learning journey of our Mass Communication students.
