Workshop on HR Statutory Compliances (PF & ESI)

DBS Global University organized a three-day Workshop on HR Statutory Compliances (PF & ESI) on Government Portals, designed to equip students with practical knowledge of statutory processes that are vital in the HR domain.

The sessions were led by two seasoned experts:

• Mr. S. K. Chopra, Industry Expert, B+ HR Consultants, Dehradun
• Adv. Sunil Thapliyal, PF & ESI Consultant, Shivansh HR Solution

The workshop offered participants not just theoretical inputs but also hands-on training in navigating government portals, filing compliances, and understanding the nuances of Provident Fund (PF) and Employee State Insurance (ESI). Students gained clarity on legal frameworks, procedural accuracy, and the critical role of compliance in building ethical and responsible workplaces. For learners aspiring to enter the HR profession, the experience was invaluable. The Art of Consultative Selling 5.0 – A 3-Day Immersive Workshop

The Marketing Club at DBS Global University proudly hosted a three-day immersive workshop on “The Art of Consultative Selling 5.0”, led by Mr. Vijayvikram R Nayak, an accomplished corporate trainer with extensive experience at Reliance, Tata Teleservices, and Coca-Cola. The workshop was designed to redefine how our students perceive and practice sales. Moving beyond traditional selling methods, participants were introduced to Sales 5.0, a dynamic blend of strategy, empathy, innovation, and technology. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and real-world role plays, students learned how to identify client needs, build authentic relationships, and co-create solutions that deliver value.

What set this workshop apart was its focus on bridging the gap between classroom learning and corporate realities. Students gained practical insights into the nuances of consultative selling from understanding buyer psychology to leveraging digital tools for smarter sales outcomes. World Pharmacist Day 2025

On the occasion of World Pharmacist Day 2025, the School of Pharmacy & Research at DBS Global University organised a series of impactful activities under the theme “Think Health, Think Pharmacist.” The celebration began with a special address by Dr Pratap Singh, CMS, State Mental Institute, Selakui, who spoke about the rising challenges of drug abuse, its harmful impact on youth, and the importance of staying committed to health and career goals.

The event also featured a Medical Checkup Camp, offering screenings for blood pressure, sugar levels, BMI, and haemoglobin, benefiting over 100 participants, including faculty, staff, and students. Through dialogue, engagement, and service, World Pharmacist Day 2025 highlighted DBS Global University’s commitment to fostering awareness, promoting health, and building a responsible, informed society.

DBS Global University Students Embark on an Academic and Cultural Tour to Malaysia

From 15th to 19th September, Students of DBS Global University visited the University of Wollongong, Malaysia, for a week-long academic and cultural experience. They attended interactive sessions on “How to Enter a Foreign Market”, gaining practical insights into global business strategies and international trade dynamics.

Beyond the classroom, students immersed themselves in Malaysia’s rich culture and iconic landmarks. They strolled through KLCC Park, with the stunning Petronas Twin Towers as the backdrop, marveled at the architectural brilliance of the towers themselves, and explored the spiritual heritage of Batu Caves with its towering limestone formations and vibrant temples. At the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre, they witnessed masterful pewter craftsmanship and understood how tradition and industry come together to create excellence.

One student reflected, “Seeing how culture, business, and innovation coexist in Malaysia has truly opened my mind to international possibilities.”

At DBS Global University, we believe that respect is the only tradition we follow. As part of Anti-Ragging Week (12th – 18th August), we are organizing a series of engaging competitions to spread awareness and strengthen the message of a ragging-free campus. From the Poster Making Competition, where creativity meets advocacy, to the Photography Competition capturing moments of friendship and unity, and the Slogan Writing Competition encouraging impactful words of change, students have multiple platforms to express themselves. Adding to this, the Reel Making Competition and Short Video Competition empower students to use digital media and storytelling to amplify the anti-ragging message. Together, these initiatives aim to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where every student feels valued and supported.
