CHILDERNS DAY CELEBRATION

On the occasion of the childrens day, Our Rotract Club of Doon Business School decided to pay a visit to our nearest slum area in Thakurpur village near Selaqui, the event was done to make those unprivileged children feel happy on this children’s day and to have a close survey of the area so that that our club may help those people in every possible way.
Further in the event our team of Rotracters were segregated into 2 teams, one team cheered up children of different age groups by playing with them, spreading awareness about education, motivated them for going to school and explaining them that how education is very crucial for their coming future and livelihood, rotracters also explained kids about some must know good habits and all the bad traits that they should avoid.
Our second team was focused on the major problems that the inhabitants of the the slum were facing, so we talked to very possible adult of the slum available at that time of the day, we encountered many major issues those people were facing like as of not having proper sanitation, no stable electricity and a fixed source of labor. After listening to all their problems, we all took a combine decision of talking to PRADHAN of their area MR. Pankaj Kumar about the situation of the slum and how by his help along with the support of DOON BUSSINESS SCHOOL the slum inhabitants can be benefited. After all the discussion our team distributed many eatables, chocolates and basic supplies to children’s and their family members to lighten up their mood and take their mind away from all the sufferings for a while In this way this event went very successful.
