Seminar on "Financial Empowerment through Wealth Creation"

The Department of Finance and Bulls and Bears Club organised a seminar on "Financial Empowerment through Wealth Creation" on 8th April 2023 in association with SEBI, NSDL, and AMFI. The seminar aimed to educate individuals on the importance of financial planning and investment in wealth creation. The speakers at the seminar were Mr. Suryakant Sharma (Sr. Consultant AMFI, Former DGM SEBI), Mr. Nobel Shukla (Manager, SEBI), Mr Tavneet Singh (NSDL). The speakers emphasized the need for financial empowerment and discussed various investment opportunities available in the market such as Mutual Funds, Pension Funds and created awareness about Ponzi schemes.
The seminar also focused on educating individuals on the importance of long-term financial planning and creating a diversified investment portfolio. The attendees were informed about the role of SEBI, NSDL, and AMFI in regulating the investment market and ensuring investor protection. Mr. Suryakant Sharma shared valuable insights on creating wealth through smart investments and discussed the risks associated with various investment options. The event was conducted by Dr. Shalini Singh, CS Pitresh Kaushik and Prof. Neha Kukrety and was graced by the presence of Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj (Director), Dr. Nikhil Kulshreshtha (Dean), CA Satish Chhabra (CFO), Dr. BS Bhandari and other faculty members.
